Awen is a Cardiff-based multimedia publisher specialising in the creation of fun educational interactive programs for children.

Awen's range of software is popular in primary schools and homes with parents, teachers and children alike. The products are designed to assist teachers and parents in the teaching and learning process, while keeping things fun for the children.

We have won several awards, and although our primary market is the UK and Europe, our products are sold as far afield as North America and Australia.

We work closely with educational advisors and teachers to ensure that our products are pedagogically sound and compatible with the National Curriculum within the framework of our most important aim - to keep learning fun!

It's more than just software - we now produce books and boardgames, too, while most of our software products include practical activities for children to complete away from the computer.

As we produce nearly all of our product in both Welsh and English from the start, we have a necessary grasp of what is required to build fully-localisable code; an understanding of the problems of localisation and language differences. This gives us a strong platform from which we can translate our products into many languages. Over and above our Welsh and UK English titles, we have products localised into Swedish, Dutch, Danish, Irish and Cantonese, and are always looking to expand that list.
