Come and construct a robot!

Twenty activities that motivate children to investigate and explore mathematical concepts independently.
The activities are based in a robot factory and the mathematical concepts include:
- Estimation
- Interpreting data
- timetables

- Venn diagrams
- Right angles
- Measuring
- instruments to measure
- reading scales
- Money
- Lines of symmetry
Users complete activities to collect robot pieces and build their own robot.
Learning Outcomes
Grasp and reinforce new mathematical concepts within four main themes:
- number - estimation, place value, fractions, mental calculations
- measures and money - timetables, instruments to measure, calculating measures, reading scales, coins
- shape, position and movement - 2-D shapes, lines of symmetry, right angles, patterns
- handling data - interpreting pictograms, bar graphs, tables and Venn diagrams, creating graphs
Also available, the original visit to the Robot Factory in either English or in Welsh suitable for children between 5 and 7 years old
